Here's a plain-English summary of how we handle your data.

How we use it:

To run SkaiScraper
To generate AI summaries and reports
To help contractors and clients work together
To personalize your feed and Trending page (based on your interests — see below)
To improve the platform

Personalization — how it works:

We notice what you engage with (project types, pros you view, topics) and your city/state, and use that to show you more relevant stories, jobs, and pros
That interest profile stays inside SkaiScraper — never sold, never shared with advertisers
It never looks at your claims, job documents, private photos, or messages
You can turn it off anytime in Settings → Privacy

SkAI Memory — property data:

Reports and documents on your projects (like roof measurement reports and inspections) may be scanned by AI to pull out property facts — roof size, pitch, materials, condition
Those facts get saved to the property's SkAI Memory history so future estimates and reports start accurate
SkAI Memory stays inside the company working on your property — never sold, never used to train outside AI models
Admins can correct or delete it anytime

The guardrail — private vs. shareable:

Always private, no exceptions: your claims, job details, budgets, documents, workspace photos, and messages. These live between you and your pro only.

Shared only if YOU choose: your public profile, before & after photos you opt into, project story titles, community posts about your experience, and reviews you leave.

What we don't do:

We don't sell your data
We don't use your data to train large external models
We don't allow unauthorized access

Your choices:

You can request your data
You can delete your data
You can export your data
You can close your account at any time

Security:

We encrypt and protect your data, but no system is perfect.
